Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth Episode 17 Spoiler, Prediction: King Jinheung to Take the Throne; Ah Ro Sees Princess Sook Myung Kissing Sun Woo

In Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth (a.k.a. Hwarang: The Beginning) episode 17 promo, Ah Ro (Go Ara) will accidentally see Princess Sook Myung kissing Sun Woo (Park Seo Joon).

The first scene shown in episode 17 promo, Sun Woo is lying in his bed. Then Princess Sook Myung is giving him a kiss. With this, Ah Ro is about to walk in on them. As it is, in episode 16, Sun Woo collapses again because of his ailment while fighting some assassins. Therefore, this scene is after the attack and he is brought to his room to rest and get better. However, the princess would take advantage of this. She wants to know how she feels about him.

Therefore, Ah Ro would feel jealous about this. However, Sun Woo is seen opening his eyes just when the princess is about to kiss him. He would probably push her away.

Later, the promo shows the ministers and the Queen Regent. They seem to be discussing something important again. Perhaps it is about the Queen Regent’s plan of stepping down and letting Sun Woo be the puppet king. However, her brother is seen saying, “You started it.” He is very angry at her. This must have a relevant connection to Sun Woo, whom she is going to declare as King Jinheung.

Meanwhile, the epidemic has gotten worse. Master Ahn Jin is very worried. They are out of medicine to fight it. This might spread toward the capital of Silla.

More of Hwarang episode 17 scenes have been shown. Sun Woo is seen punching King Jinheung (Park Hyung Sik). The latter said that he is struggling and fighting as well. As it is, he is in self-turmoil dealing with his own problem of being a king but not able to lead his nation.

Afterward, Princess Sook Myung is shown walking past Ah Ro. She said that the latter is greedy and annoying. Perhaps she meant that she already has both the affection of the king and Sun Woo. Therefore, the princess is envious of her.

Another set of assassins are seen as well in the episode 17 promo, while the Hwarang Chief (Sung Dong-Il) is carried away. Then King Jinheung is threatening Master Young Shil with his sword. He said, “I will not avoid it any longer.” Perhaps he is referring to his being a king, as he already admitted that he is the King of Silla in episode 16. But he will leave the old man unharmed.

The Queen Regent is then seen running and screaming “No!” Could it be that she’s dreaming? Then King Jinheung is seen sitting on the throne. He said “I must become the true King of Silla.” It seems that he is now very determined to let everyone know that he is the real king, not Sun Woo.

In Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth (a.k.a. Hwarang: The Beginning) episode 17, there sure be more scenes of Han Sung (V) and his brother and Ban Ryu (Jo Di Han) who is trying to play the antagonist again, as well as Soo Ho’s (Choi Min Ho) one-sided love affair.

Watch Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth (Hwarang: The Beginning) every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. KST on KBS channel. Episode 17 will air on Feb. 13.
