Goblin Episode 6 Recap: Ji Eun Tak Cannot Pull out the Sword from Kim Shin’s Heart, Kisses him Instead

In Goblin episode 6, it opened in the last scene of episode 5. It can be recalled that Kim Shin or the Goblin (Gong Yoo) went to Canada with Ji Eun Tak (Kim Go Eun) to have a meal together.

Kim Shin saw the 29-year-old Eun Tak in the future, going on a date with an unknown person. Because of this, he tried to be firm in his decision that he had to go — meaning that he should let her pull out the sword from his heart and die. Later, in his home the two of them talked about himself. She thought that he was a traitor, which could be the reason that he was punished. He said that he was, even though it was not true. However, she told him that even though she did not know about his past, he was not truly punished. If he were, he would merely be a Goblin and he would not have a Goblin‘s bride to pull out the sword.

Meanwhile, the Grim Reaper (Lee Dong Wook) took the name Kim Woo Bin when he and Yoo Deok Hwa met Sunny and her make-up artist friend. She got interested in the “chaebol” as he was her landlord, which the Grim Reaper understood it otherwise, especially that she asked him the young rich boy’s number. Also, this time, when she asked for his calling card, he could not give her any. He mentioned that he was working in a service company that he could not divulge in.

Sunny wore the ring that the Grim Reaper gave her, while the ghosts showed up in front of Ji Eun Tak. An old woman’s ghost asked her the lotto’s winning numbers, which she asked later on from the Goblin. He gave the winning lotto numbers, which she gave to the ghost. In turn, the ghost will appear to her family’s dream to tell them. However, Ji Eun Tak tried to by the ticket, she was not allowed by the seller due to her being underaged. But Kim Shin assured her that there were no winners that day and the prize will be carried over to the next week’s draw. The ghost was happy about it and told her to live happily with the Goblin.

Later on, Kim Shin and Ji Eun Tak agreed that she would take out the sword from his chest the next day. However, three or more days later, he kept stalling. He asked Deok Hwa’s grandfather to burn the old painting he kept and ensure that his young bride can live and educated well; he also gave Deok Hwa his wish to have a credit card; and he called the Grim Reaper and told him to erase Eun Tak’s memories after she has done pulling the sword out from his heart but the Grim Reaper could not hear him due to his being on the street.

Ji Eun Tak still researched about what the Chinese characters meant that she once saw in his diary. However, she could still not understand what was their meaning.

Finally, the two of them went to the buckwheat field where he would let her pull out the sword from his heart. She showed him her conditions that she wrote down on her notebook and made him promise with his signature. However, when she tried to pull out the sword, it vanished. She could not even hold it. Therefore, it occurred to her that he needed one thing — a kiss — to make it work.

Goblin episode 6 ended with Ji Eun Tak kissing Kim Shin’s lips.
