Goblin Episode 2 Recap, Review: Ji Eun Tak’s Life in Danger

The new Korean TV series is called Goblin or also known as Guardian: The Lonely and Great God aired its episode 2 last Saturday.

Gong Yoo who plays the character Kim Shin went back to Korea with Ji Eun Tak (Kim Go Eun) for her to go to school. It was seen that the two of them were in Canada in episode 1. Later, he then admitted to her that he is a goblin and told her to never summon him again.

Ji-Eun Tak was then tracked by the Grim Reaper, who tried to get her as she was not supposed to be born. However, the goblin arrived.

Later, Ji Eun Tak managed to get a job, as already foretold by the goblin. Her boss is a pretty, bright but lonesome owner (Yoo In-Na) of a chicken shop, Kim Sun or Sunny. The latter then dealt with her aunt who came to the shop looking for her – just to know where her late mother’s bankbook was hidden.

It then turned out that Ji Eun Tak’s aunt owed the loan shark some money and she wanted to pay them with her mother’s money. Later, she was abducted by the two men from the loan shark group.

She was then harassed by the two men inside the car. She denied that she had the bankbook but the bad guys kept on harassing her. The mark on her back then emitted some magical light. Later, the vehicle stopped suddenly and they saw the street lights were turned off almost all at the same. Then the Grim Reaper (Lee Dong Wok) and the goblin came toward them.

Goblin episode 2 garnered a 7.904 percent rating nationwide, according to AGB Nielsen. On the other hand, TNmS Ratings released that it gathered 8.1 percent.
