Bad Boys 3: Will Smith Teases Sequel after 13 Years

Bad Boys original movie was released in 1995. It was followed by its sequel Bad Boys 2 in 2003. Now, Will Smith dishes Bad Boys 3 that will be filmed in 2017, after 13 years since the second instalment was released!

According to The Wrap, Will Smith told Jimmy Kimmel on Monday night, Dec. 5, that part Bad Boys 3 is underway. Also, his partner in crime in the action/comedy movie franchise, Martin Lawrence, mentioned earlier this year that the third instalment is going to start filming in March 2017.

So what will the boys gonna do when they come for you?

The A-lister is “going to sign on the dotted line” and will begin filming. With his co-star Martin Lawrence’s announcement earlier, Bad Boys 3 is being confirmed by Jimmy Kimmel if it is accurate.

As reported by Cinema Blend, Will Smith was on the talk show circuit to talk about this season’s Collateral Beauty. There, he plays a man talking with human embodiments of feelings and emotions after his kid passed away. However, Jimmy Kimmel grabbed this opportunity to get an update regarding Bad Boys 3, which has already a set release date of Jan. 12, 2018.

The 48-year-old megastar said that he had a great time doing the previous movies with Martin Lawrence, who is one of the reasons that he is happy to do this third instalment. He said, “Let me tell you, I love that dude. That’s among the best times I’ve ever had making movies. So I’m looking forward to it.”

For the uninitiated, in the two previous instalments, Martin Lawrence and Will Smith portrayed as bickering couple of Miami detectives. They did this as they take down various criminals.

Director Michael Bay brought to the action/comedy franchise the “overwrought Floridians style,” together with the over-the-top set pieces and awesome stunts. However, he would not be back for Bad Boys 3 as it will be turned over to The A-Team and The Grey filmmaker Joe Carnahan.
